Dear ASIS member and potential guest,
Welcome to a hybrid event on Behavioural Detection with Ann‑Sofie Ljungfelt.
What is it, why is it important, and how do you implement it?
As security threats become increasingly sophisticated, organisations need proactive strategies that go beyond traditional surveillance. Behavioural detection has emerged as a powerful approach, relying on trained personnel to observe and interpret behavioural cues that may indicate potential risks.
Unlike conventional security measures, behavioural detection focuses on subtle, non‑verbal signs of suspicious activity, enabling early intervention before an incident escalates.
This training will include case studies and results from actively applying Behaviour Detection Awareness in shopping centres.
Ann‑Sofie Ljungfelt, owner and CEO of Ekfelt Management AB, brings decades of expertise in security management. Since 1992, she has worked hands‑on as well as strategically within the security field. Alongside her professional roles, she has continually expanded her education—and in 2011 she became the first woman in the Nordic region to earn the prestigious CPP certification (Certified Protection Professional).
Today, Ann‑Sofie focuses primarily on strategic security work in public and semi‑public environments such as shopping centers. She has also contributed to the development of security strategies for upcoming real estate projects, shaping safety from the planning stage onward.
